Hmmmm .... as I'm sitting here realizing that my baby girl just turned 8 today ... I get sad. I feel like my life is just flying by. My oldest is 14 (OMG) and now my littlest is 8. As we sat at dinner with Memaw and Pappy .... I looked over at McKenna laughing with Pappy and smiling so hugely .... and at that moment she looked so much bigger and mature than just yesterday. I do think some of it has to do with the fact that I straightened her hair for her. It was a surprise for her birthday and she just loved it. She has naturaly curly hair and she just thought it was so great that I would do that for her. I couldn't believe how much older it made her look. Of course he thinks that she looks JUST like Miley Syrus / Hannah Montana ... LOL...

So, bringing up Hannah Montana ... that is what she got for her birthday! My SIL Jami and her two girls and myself and McKenna are going to the Hannah Montana concert!!!! I thought McKenna was going to pass out at Outback! LOL... that is where we told her and she was speechless ... boy that was a first! I am really excited to experience her first concert with her just like I did with Brieanna. Brieanna's first concert was N'Sync... LOL.. yes I sat through an N'Sync concert at Raymond James Stadium ... in the rain ... gotta love Justin Timberlake!!! I do have to say .. it was a really great show! I was really impressed. Rain ... yeah that sucked.

So ... as I sit here and write this .. I remember when Brieanna was 8 and then can't believe McKenna is 8 and realize that they are growing up so fast. I must cherrish every moment with them ... before time is gone. I have to walk away from the little things ... play a game, watch a show with them or just hang out and talk. That is now my new years resolution ... I am going to spend more time with my girls .. and that makes me very happy.

I love you McKenna and Brieanna and you both will always be my "baby girls"
